Take 10 minutes now and a pen to write down all of the things that you would do with the money. If you are feeling adventurous, then go for what you would do with one million pounds. Let your thoughts flow and flow .......
Now, if I was to tell you that the figures above are how many seconds that you have on your time off - would it make a difference? Take a moment to remember your last time off – did you work? Have you the same enthusiasm in spending your 84600 seconds? Did you spend the time doing something that inspired you or made you happy? What did you actually do?
One thing that I have learned over my boarding career is on my time off to do at least one thing that makes me smile – whether it is spending time and having lunch with friends, sport, making cakes or just reading by the sea. When you add up all of the 86 400 seconds that are ours over the school year we have a quite a deposit of time that belongs to us. What one thing are you going to do on your next time off to have some ME time?
And on your next time off ... and your next time off ......
Remember, you are more than just boarding . :)
